Fair warning......
My husband took Nicky for his hair cut. He got scissor cut on top with a #3 (so he says - but I think it is a 2) on the sides and back. This happened at 11am - after a few choice words...I didn't speak to him again until 6pm!
Of course, Nicky looks cute...because he is Nicky...but he looks like a boy now - not my little baby. I have to get batteries for the camera and I will post pics.
See everyone Saturday at 7pm.

Hello
Just a quick thank you to Kelly for taking care of the kids yesterday while we went to the wedding. I am sorry that Jenny refused to perform at work but I am glad that Nicky behaved as the man-whore he is! LOL - that kid will go to anyone!!!
See everyone Wednesday at Halloween! Love you!

Quick update
I took Jenny to the dermatologist for her hemangioma today. He gave me a referral for a plastic surgeon in NYC. Her name is June Wu and she is supposed to be the leading expert on this new type of surgery which uses a purse string stich - it is supposed to minimize the scarring. So I have to call for a consultation and if she feels surgery is necessary then I go through the long process of getting the surgery approved by the insurance company.
So we shall see how it goes.
On another note, ask Terri how cute she looked in her Stonybrook shirt and her pink tennis skirt today!
I will take and post pictures soon.
Love,
Jenn

A good day!
Despite the fact that the METS totally blew it today - and I am not sad for me - but sad for the rest of my family who have the unfortunate alliance to the Purple Stadium - It was a very good day today.
The Annual Fall Festival at the farm was today. The babies picked their first pumpkins ever. All the kids had their roasted corn, then ice cream. They fed the animals, played and danced to the band. All five of us also did the corn maze - Nicky on Daddy's shoulders but of course Jenny insisted on walking herself. They turned into an absol
ute mess but they had such a good time.
They couldn't get enough of the chickens - go figure!

Hey Mom! Here is a good one!
It may almost be bigger than me...but this is the one I want!

Nicky found his pumpkin! Actually, mommy put a pumpkin in front of him so he would pick it!

I ordered the halloween costumes for the kids - Since I can't pick out Joey's costumes (damned opinionated kids), he is going to be Spiderman AGAIN....but this time he is going to be black Spiderman.....

I figure by next year they are going to have their own opinion - so this is my last year of fun.
I took some pictures of the kids playing outside - I will post them later tonight or tomorrow. I also finally copied the video of Joey riding his two-wheeler - so I will post that as well.
Have a good one.

SINCE I CAN PICK OUT THE BABIES' COSTUMES......
Nicky is going to be a brown bear.....

Thank you...
To Titsi Terri for babysitting the kids while I went to Joey's open house! They were so excited to see you (I am glad they were good). See - I told you they were sweet kids on their own turf - and you even got two kisses from each of them!!! Banner day!!!
Love you!

Baby stats...
We took the twins to the doctor's yesterday for their well visit....
Jenny:
- 31 inches tall
- 20 lbs
They each got two shots and screamed like their heart was broken. A lollipop quickly shut them up! Then we went to McDonalds and all three played in the climber for a little while. Not too bad of a day.
I took video of Jenny and Nicky playing peek-a-boo - with Jenny cracking up. I will try to post later tonight.

New things...
Jenny's new thing is that she says Stop. But she doesn't just say stop....she says "JOE Stooooooooop!" She holds out the O.
Nicky's new thing when he fake cries is that he purses his lips like he is giving you a big smooch and then says "ooo ooo ooo" What a faker.
Joey is learning to tie his shoes - it is driving him crazy.
I have to take some pics - then I will post. I know - I suck.

Joey
Can now ride a two wheeler. I started teaching him on my vacation - we went to Toys-R-Us for Matty's birthday and he saw a cool Ben 10 bike. I told him that he wasn't getting a new bike until he learned how to ride a two wheeler - I wasn't wasting my money on a new set of training wheels.
The next afternoon I asked him if he wanted me to take the training wheels off his bike and he said yes. It took about one hour and he was riding across the property by himself. A few days of that and then he tried it on the street - he rides like a pro now - He took a ride all the way down the block to the horse farm with his dad. He also goes down the big hill (well, big for a kid just learning a two wheeler) by the house.
He is so proud of himself! He also finished swimming lessons - He can actually go to a level next year - this year was just beginner readiness - but he can do everything he is supposed to and on his last day he even swam underwater a little bit!
Jenny's new thing is that she gets naked every single chance she gets - it has gotten to the point that I had to tape her diaper with electrical tape (like a belt) so she couldn't get it off. IF that isn't bad enough - when she gets her clothes off she tries to take her brother's clothes off!!!! "Come on NIck - Nakey Good! Nakey Free!!!!!!"
I tried to look for the silver lining - I said to my husband "Well, maybe she is ready to start potty training" He looked at me and said "She can't even say 'Pee' let alone do it on the potty - get over it - she just likes to be naked!"
Nicky is as sweet as ever. He is talking jibberish more and more -he says Mom and Dad really clear. He also says bye - but that is about it. He does yell at you in his own language quite often though!!!
He has been climbing through the little window in the living room lately. He dumps the legos, turns the box over and stands on it - then he climbs through the window onto the kitchen table - he then has the AUDACITY to yell at you when you ask him what he is doing. What a trip.
I am going to try to post video of Joey riding his bike later. I was too lazy last night.
Have a great weekend!

Funny story and Zoo pics
Yet another anecdote to illustrate the vast differences in personalities of my two babies:
The twins have started using a fork when they eat.
Nicky carefully pierces the food with the prong and slowly and methodically moves the food to his mouth and takes his bite.......
Jenny?
She uses the fork as a drumstick on her high chair and eats her food like a puppy - no hands!!!!
Never ceases to amaze me!
Here are some pictures at the Zoo that Nicole took:

Thank Yous
1. Thank you to PJ and Nicole for taking Joey to the Zoo on Saturday - he had such a great time and still is talking about it!!! You spoil that kid rotten!
2. Thank you to Aunt Joan and Aunt Pam for having EVERYONE over on Saturday - all the kids had such a great time - and (I know it was orinally for the dogs but) thanks for blocking off the driveway - it gave me peace of mind with the babies.
3. Thank you to Kelly for being my stand in husband on Saturday - I didn't want to miss the bar-b-que but I knew I couldn't do it by myself.
4. Thank you again to Kelly for watching ALL THREE kids on Sunday so we could go to the game - We had such a good time and we really needed it! I am so glad the kids (i.e. Jenny) was good for you - she always keeps us guessing!
Love you guys!!!
Love,
Jenny

New things:
- Jenny is diving off the couch head first - but that's ok because Joey "puts a pillow down for her"
- Nicky has taken to pointing his finger at me and yelling - I guess I am out of line.
- Joey's new favorite food is Eel - yes EEL!
- Joey got two of his Christmas presents already - I am a sucker and need to store those toys!
- Jenny has started sitting in the opending of the wall between the kitchen and living room and chit chats with me (in her own way) while I cook dinner.
- I made Hamburger Helper the other night (GROSS!) and I was the best mom in the world - go figure!
- Going to the Yankee game Sunday - Kelly gets all three at once - SUCKER! LOL (just kidding)
- After the great job Joey did at "facing his fears" on Sunday in Anthony's pool - I bought him the Superman life vest - he is such a skinny little shit! LOL (I will try to get a picture and post).
- Nicky has started doing itsy bitsy spider a little bit - but still prefers clap hands and round round bally.
- It sounds like they both say "Joe" but I am not quite sure yet.
- All kids still prefer Joe. Damn it.
That's it off the top of my head. Have a good one.

I didn't update back in June...
when the babies had there checkup - and since I am basically using this site as a baby book - since I am terrible at updating their actual book....I need to post....so.....
On 6/14/07 Nicholas was 32 1/2 inches long and 22lbs, 3 oz.
Jennifer was 31 inches tall and 18lbs, 15 oz.
Both got two shots and they were thoroughly pissed. The doctor said they are wonderful, beautiful babies and I should hug them everyday - which I do.
That's it - have to go catch fireflies now but I will leave you with this video of Jenny. One of these days I am going to have to get her a dog....

It still amazes me....
That two babies could have been conceived at exactly the same time, born only two minutes apart and raised the EXACT same way and be total opposites!
We took the kids to the beach Saturday night (I will post pics when I get home tonight). As soon as we put the kids down Jenny tore ass towards the ocean.
Nicky plunked his butt down in the sand and just sat there - studying the sand - getting used to the way it felt. He stared at the seagulls for a good fifteen minutes straight!

Jenny, on the other hand, wanted in the water right away and was trying to make me let go of her so she could be on her merry way. When the water would come up she would kick and laugh - she tried to sit in the pools of ocean that gathered in little sand pockets. Joey got a few good shots of her trying to get away from us.

Nicky's turn at the ocean. He held on to my fingers for dear life. The water would come in and wash over his feet and legs - he didn't cry but he looked up at me like "Yeah, I am glad you are getting a kick out of this - but it is a little too much excitement for me." Meanwhile, Joe couldn't get any good shots of Nicky at the water because he had to keep one hand on Jenny the whole time - who was bugging out b/c she couldn't still be in the water.
Joey had a great time climbing up the LifeGuard sand mounds and splashing in the ocean.
After we were done playing on the beach we went up to the boardwalk where Jenny did her shimmy shimmy shake where the band was playing - and Nicky finally decided to explore a little bit.

After the beach we went to Carvel for ice cream and then the kids each conked out! It was a good day. Here are all the pictures from the beach.

Quick update - I posted pics and I found one from the sprinkler day that I forgot to post of Jenny.....
