After much deliberation yesterday - will it or won't it rain - we decided to go to the Bronx Zoo. The kids had a great time and each got to see their "favorite" animal. We were completely exhausted at the end of the day - but well worth it.

The answer to that is a big fat F'ing NO! I think it is inevitable though. The breed contenders are:

1. Bulldog...although I am having a hard time justifying spending that kind of money on a dog - It is Joey's favorite though.

2. Boxer....I am partial - I would like a big dog if we do get one - I hate yip yip dogs...look how cute this girl is:

or 3. Goldendoodle - part golden retriever part poodle...Joey liked this guy too - so did Jenny and Nicky - well...Nicky likes any kind of dog possible - he is the one who wants a dog the most.

I can't believe a whole school year has passed already! It seems like I just dropped them off last month. I am so proud of my two babies (not babies anymore)!!! They did a great job this year. Their graduation was last Thursday - small song and dance and then they received their "diploma" with a picnic afterwards. It was very very cute. Jenny did all the songs and dances...Nicky did whichever ones he felt like doing! LOL Here are some pics and videos of the morning.

1st Game Recap

So...what an extreme high and extreme low baseball game today.

Joey started out the game really really shaky...he struck out 3 times. After the third strikeout he literally burst out crying..spent 1/2 an inning in Center field with his back turned crying. He wanted to quit, said his Red Sox Jersey was bad luck...it was not pretty and I have to admit...after I was getting kind of aggravated that he was getting that upset...I understand being upset but the breakdown was a little excessive. I admit, I am harder then most moms.

Anyway..bottom of the 5th inning, his assistant coach convinces him to give it one more try. Joey stepped up to the plate still crying, his breath catching. One Strike, Two Strikes, lets a couple of pitches go by...Finally, the perfect pitch and he hits a single, flies down and is safe at first. His teamates bring him in to score in a few more hits.

Top of the 6th inning, Joey plays 1st base, he gets the first runner out with a perfect catch. The other team though had a rally and ended up tieing the game up. It is down to the bottom of the 6th...either we win or have to settle for a tie game.

Two people get on base, two other kids get thrown out. Joey is up...tie game, runners on 1st and 2nd, 2 outs.

One strike, two strikes THEN.....Line drive down the 3rd base line, double, runner on 2nd scores to win the game! Joey ran in the winning run!!!!!

The coach made a big speech about NEVER giving up...and the person who showed this the most - as well as brought in the winning run was Joey...so he got the Game Ball!!! It was like a freaking movie!!!

I was crying, Robin was crying, Kelly was crying....it was such a great ending!!!! So proud of my boy!!!!

So we went to Toniann's house for Easter. My brother-in-law Tony was there with his family. Tony's 3 year old son fell head over heals for my daughter...following her around asking "Where's Jenny? Where's Jenny" It was the cutest thing ever.

Well Visit

I took the babies for their 4 year well visit today. They are both doing fine.

Nicky: Kick is 38 lbs and 41 inches. He is in the 50th percentile for both height and weight.

Jenny: Jenny is 30 lbs and 38 inches. She is in the 25th percentile for height and 10th percentile for weight...she is my little peanut!

Both of them had to get shots...which they were NOT happy about. I explained what was going to happen and I said "Ok...who is going to go first?" and Jenny immediately said "NICKY!!!!" lol The kid aint stupid!

I know it has been along time since I updated everything - even though I have promised a few times now. I spent the day doing this - so STOP yer Bitching people! LOL

Joey: Joey is as brilliant as ever! He just started doing baseball instruction at the MLI in middle island. He absolutely loves it! He got more instruction in a 1/2 hour then he did in the full 3 years of little league. He is going to go every week until the new season starts.

NIcky: Kick's surgery went fabulous! He was eating within two hours of the surgery and only needed to take pain medicine twice. We went to the doctor yesterday and there was absolutely no fluid in either ear! He goes for a follow up in 4 months and then will take a hearing test.

Jenny: Jenny is Jenny - lol. She is a little mother hen but also a tough little cookie. Joe has been working on the playroom and she helped him prime and paint! She is doing really well in school and seems to have made quite a few friends. Her best friend is "Kayla" This afternoon she informed me that some girl called Nicky rude - lol. I am thinking about signing her up for gymnastics this summer.

Well, most of you know the scoop of what's going on ...I don't update this as much as I should - I would make a New Year's Resolution to post more but why set myself up to fail.

Hopefully, before the end of the night I will post videos of Joey's sing a long in school today and Jenny's hair cut - lol.

Joey did so great today! I am so proud of this kid it almost makes me cry. I am writing this post so I will make a point to upload the videos, since I have now committed to it.

Poor Kick

It never ends for this kid! He has had a fever on and off - mostly on - since Monday night. Took him to the doctor today and he has tonsillitis - I feel so bad for him when the fever hits him. He sits on Joe's recliner and just zones out :( He came to me this evening and said "Mom, I need medicine". So now the fever is down and he is playing the Wii - my poor boy!

Update on Kick

I had a teacher conference for the twins last week - The teachers think Jenny is where she is supposed to be - they are worried about Kick b/c he has trouble with transitions (tantrums) and they also don't think his speech is where it is supposed to be. They started out with that and then told me how smart he is - that he can pick up any task after being shown just once - yeah - I know, maybe they should have started with that but whatever. I told them what was going on with the sleep test - and they said that could be the reason for his speech delay.

Well we had the follow up with the ear nose and throat doctor. Originally we had decided to wait
out the winter to see how he did with ear infections. He does have sleep apnea but it is not severe enough to use that for a reason to take tonsils out. Then I told him about the preschool conference and he said "Well let's take a hearing test today and we will go from there."

So...Kick took the hearing test - he has significant fluid in his ears and he is basically at the maximum level of hearing loss that you can have with the fluid - Wonderful - basically he is hearing what we say - but it sounds far away to him - which would explain why we need to repeat ourselves sometimes and why he may be dropping some sounds in his speech.

SO the new plan is - put him on allergy medicine and nose spray for the next 6 weeks - go back and re-check his hearing. If the fluid doesn't decrease and his hearing improves whe will need to get everything out (tonsils and adnoids) plus get tubes in his ears. It never ends.

Crazy Crazy week! We had the halloween parade today - of course Nick was the ONLY kid who refused to put on his costume! Bood fair yesterday, tomorrow is Joey's class party and Saturday is Halloween - honestly I think I am going to collapse on Sunday!

Kicks Sleep Test

Kick had his sleep test - my poor boy - he was ok until they put the stickers on his face - then he started crying "Take me home Mama - no like the doctor!"

He woke up about 3 times - each time he pulled the tube out of his nose and cried for me to take him home. We were woken up about 5:30 and left about 6am. Home at 6:30am where Kick slept until almost 10.

Day before yesterday I was going to take him for his hair cut and he said "No Mommy - no stickers on my head!"

We should have his results by Next Wed. and then we will know if we have to get his tonsils out or not. Let's hope not!

Sad but necessary post..

Since this is basically a diary documenting the kids lives, this is just a quick post.

After church yesterday (where Joey lit two candles - one for Pop and one for his Grandma) I took Joey to the cemetary to visit Pop's grave. At first he hid his eyes and didn't want to go - told me it would make him too sad. Well we got lost in Calverton looking for him - so he couldn't keep hidden for that long. He opened his eyes and realized that it wasn't that scary of a place. We found Pop's section and then wandered around in the rain for another 15 minutes looking for him.

Joey handled it really well. Talked a little and asked if he could bring a picture the next time we went.

Then we went to Toniann's house - another step that he was scared to take b/c it would be weird to be there without Pop. We walked in and he went into Pop's room by himself - only for about 30 seconds - came out and then played with his cousins. He told Toniann about how he went to the cemetary and that he was sad but he understood. So he is handling this about as well as I can hope.

Halloween Costume Decisions

Damn Decisions...well the kids have decided on their costumes. As I suspected last year after I picked Raggedy Ann and Andy for the twins...they had their own ideas this year! SOOOO.....Nicky is going to be a Dinosaur. Joey is going to be the sea monster from Land of the Lost. and.... Jenny wants to be Tinkerbell...yes, I have a girly girl. I am sure my mother will be happy. LOL I ordered their costumes today....Halloween is on its way!

First week of school

The kids started school this week. Joey started on Tuesday. He did really well. He loves his teacher and had a great day. He was very excited that Mommy had homework on the first day (all the contact forms) and he didn't ! LOL Here are some pics of him.

Then this morning...the twins started preschool. I was more nervous then they were - They did absolutely fantastic!!! Walked right in - no problems at all. I am now sitting here anxiously waiting for it to be time to pick them up (1/2 hour to go!)

Separation Class

Today was the twins' first separation class...They did FANTASTIC! Jenny made me promise that I wouldn't drive away - which I didn't - but she did not give me even one ounce of trouble when I left. I was so proud of her - I guess the prepping for the past month worked!

Nicky was as go-with-the -flow as ever. Later Mom. LOL and the helper said he was very good during the class - so that is a relief - no meltdowns!

Whew! One down - five more to go!

Well, it is the last day of school - Joey is so excited! All three kids got their hair cut. Jenny got about an inch or so cut off and both boys got a buzz cut. I will post pics later if I can.

Quick funny story....This morning I was driving Joey to school and I said "Boy, you got some hair on those legs kiddo." and he said:

"Well, I AM a man!" lol

Also - like I said before, Nicky got a buzz cut - which he usually doesn't get. He was looking in the mirror and he said "I am Matthew!" LOL

and one more story, this one from Jenny.

I took her to work with me yesterday and I asked her to sing Twinkle Twinkle to me - she said "Mommy get the recording thing!"

When I told her that I didn't have it with me, she said she couldn't sing. What a DIVA!

I know, I know - it has been forever since I last updated. We are all doing good - life is just crazy as usual!

Joey is done with school in three more days...this year flew by so quick I can't belive it - he is going into 3rd grade in September and the twins are starting Preschool! Time for another baby! Don't let Joeyboy hear that or we will never do it again!!!

Quick story. We were all sitting at dinner Wednesday night. Jenny was saying that she is a princess. So then Joey said he is the King. I asked Nicky "Nicky, are you the Prince?" and he furrowed his brow and yelled:

"I'm a clown fish!"

Obviously, Finding Nemo has been the movie of the month and he said it just like Marlin did in the seen with Dory when he said "This isn't funny, and I know funny....I'M A CLOWN FISH!"

We all cracked up laughing - the things my kids come up with!

Very hectic day yesterday. Up at 7am, Mommy and me at 9:30, Work at 11, drop kids at Toniann's at 12 (thanks again!), plant sale at Joey's school 12:30 - 3:30, back to Toniann's at 4pm and then all the nighttime rituals.

Anyway, as Jenny does, she bugged out when I left her at Toniann's yesterday, only for 5-10 minutes but it still kills you.

When I got back to To's to pick her up she said "Mommy, you're back" and I said "Of course, Mommy ALWAYS comes back."

So this morning when I was leaving for work - she did her usual "Mommy, don't go nowhere." when she first woke up and I told her I had to go to work but Daddy was staying home. As I was leaving, she said "Bye Mommy, I will see you later because you always come back!"

It was so sweet - she is my little buddy - I wanted to pick her up and take her with me but I thought that would be counter-productive.

I don't know how her separation class will be this summer or pre-school in the Fall. We shall see but hopefully she is turning a corner on the seperation anxiety thing.

Joey's communion

Well, it was definately a wet wet day! The weather called for rain only later in the day so my sisters and I were up till 10pm the night before setting up the tent and tables for the party. Long story short.......rain from morning till night!

So, we jammed everyone into my house and had a nice time anyway. I didn't get alot of pics...by the time the ceremony was over, Joey was ready to play with his cousins and they didn't allow pics in the church. So here is what I have:

1st Baseball Game of the season

It is officially baseball season! Joey had his first game today. He got up to bat twice - he grounded to first and then hit a single.

He played pitcher, left field and catcher. He had a great time - well most of the time. It was such a nice day that I ended up cutting out of work earlier then I should have but what can you do right?

We spent the rest of the day outside - we took a walk and then Joey rode the babies on the tractor for a bit. We even ate outside - both dinner and dessert! It was a good day.

The twins had their 3 year check up on Thursday.

Nicky is 36 inches tall and 32 lbs. He is a little above average.

Jenny the peanut is 34 inches tall and only 26lbs! LOL BUT...she actually made it onto the chart - it only took 3 years! She is in the 5th percentile - little munchkin. LOL

They were both sitting in their undies when the doctor came in and both of them yelled "HI! Doctor!"

When the doctor grabbed Kick's little nuggets and told him to cough - he did it once and then the 2nd time he grabbed her hands and pulled them off and said "NO!!!!!!!" Good boy!

Joey's first baseball game is April 18th - not sure of the time yet.

Hey everyone! Not much going on, just waiting for Spring to hurry up and get here. We are trying to get the yard ready for Joey's communion but with all of these rainy weekends I am slowly losing hope!

The kids are going a little stir crazy too - as you can see by the picture below:

This past Sunday was finally nice and the kids played outside ALL day long. Matthew slept over the night before and then hung out all day. Sammy came by after work and had dinner with us. It was a really good day.

I went to get Nicky's hair cut and I asked to get bangs cut into Jenny's hair...I ended up taking about an 1 1/2 inches off of her hair.. She was such a good girl!

We have Poop!

OK - gross entry but we must record the milestones!

The day before yesterday (on his birthday), Nicky did Poopy on the Potty! It was a 2 hour ordeal but I refused to put a diaper on him - so it was either the toilet or his underwear and - thank goodness - he chose the former!

Being the enterprising young woman that I am - I told Jenny that Nicky can get birthday presents and birthday cake b/c he is a big boy. If she didn't do poop on the potty then she wasn't going to be able to get a birthday cake. (Ok - I know, I know, cruel..blah blah blah...and if it didn't work it would have been a huge blow to my credibility when she got her gifts on Sunday but..)

It took her less then 24 hours and she did poop on the potty too!!! She was so proud of herself!

I have never done the "Poopy in the Pott-ay" song so much in my life!

And if you were wondering, yes - I took a picture with my camera phone and sent it to Joe at work! LOL

That bugger has been holding out on us....

So as most of you may know, I have been potty training Jenny but Nicky has had absolutely no interest whatsoever in it. I ask him if he wants to go on the potty and he simply tells me "Nope!".

Last week I pretty much didn't give him a chance and said "Kick - you are putting underwear on now - let's go!" He resisted at first - ended up running around naked a little bit and then within an hour - was peeing on the potty!

After that - a complete champ - he has maybe one accident a day and it is usually when he is completely pre-occupied with something and just forgets.

AND...He has been waking up in the morning completely dry! Jenny doesn't even do that yet..So I think he has been potty trained for months - he was just holding out on us!

He hasn't pooped yet...but he is a toilet reader! LOL:

Not too much going on...

Joey had his first reconciliation on Saturday (confession is what we called it in our day). He is so cute – he confessed that he talks too much when he should be listening in class – lol. For the life of me I can’t understand why they make 7 year olds confess. It makes no sense whatsoever – what could they possibly have to confess?

The twins each have a cold – Jenny is so dramatic. Joey asked her for a kiss goodbye yesterday morning and she said “No Joey – I’m sick – no kisses!” LOL Then, when I got home I said "Hey Jenny girl - how are you feeling?" and she looked at me like I was stupid and said "Mom, I not crying!" LOL

Finally - a Nicky story….I call Joe “Babe” and every once in a while Nicky will call him babe if he is not listening – he will say “Dad? Dad? BABE!” So yesterday morning we were watching Franklin (God I love Noggin!) and he said “Mommy – there’s Franklin and there is the Daddy the Babe”

Happy Birthday Joey !!! It seems like you were born only yesterday and now you are 7 years old! Thank you to everyone for coming last night- Joey had a great time and loved all his presents. He was especially happy to have his birthday party in his own house for the first time ever!!!

I took Joey to the doctor on Saturday for his physical - he is such a midget - lol - He is 3 feet 10 inches and only 46 pounds! He is in 25th percentile for both height and weight!

Then...I forgot to warn him but he had to do the turn your head and cough thing - Holy crap the two of us were cracking up - he could hardly cough he was laughing so hard. I couldn't catch my breath - what a fiasco - too funny - I guess I should warn him next time.

Halloween was FANTASTIC!!!! The kids had a great time. We went trick-or-treating in the new neighborhood. If I wasn't happy about moving before, yesterday would have convinced me. The neighborhood is filled with kids and everyone is so nice it is amazing. It was good to go out and meet people in the area. Joey was also excited to see some familiar faces from school in the area.

Sammy, I hope you are feeling better soon - some excuse to get out of trick or treating - sheesh!

Hey - for all of you that aren't blood related, here is an update.

Well we closed on the house on the 3rd and have been crazy busy getting everything together since then. We slept in the house for the first time on Friday and are now more in the new house then the old. We still have a few things over there but we are coming along.

Hopefully by Halloween we will be completely finished!

I got the babies costumes yesterday - they are going to be Raggedy Ann and Andy! They look so freakin' cute I can't stand it.

Joey is going to be Iron Man with a light up chest and light up gloves. We are trick-or-treating in the new neighborhood this year - so exciting!

Anyway that is the update. I will post pics as soon as I can!

Well it is official (as the text message went out yesterday), I am up to my eyeballs in debt! LOL We closed (FINALLY) on the house yesterday - I am completely exhausted mentally after this process. I don't know how people buy and sell houses like crazy and I have a new respect for Robin (for those that don't know - she is a R/E Agent).

So now we do clean-up, replace two carpets and then we move in!!! Joey will definately be trick-or-treating in the new neighborhood!

First Day and Panic

Joey started school yesterday. He was very nervous but he went right in and didn't look back. I am so proud of that kid! I bought him a Speed Racer car while he was at school and it was waiting for him on the seat of the car when I picked it up. Needless to say he was thrilled.

I have been having little panic attacks lately where Joey is concerned (not real breathing in a bag panic attacks - just little bouts of worrying).

We went to the beach on Tuesday night - Joey was playing in the crashing waves and I was almost freaking out - telling him to be careful - freaking out if a wave was too big. It was weird because I am usually more laid back with that stuff.

Then this morning, as we were waiting to go into the school - Joey said Hi to this little kid from his class - the kid (2nd grade mind you) had this HUGE earring in his ear - isn't 2nd grade young for that????

THEN....there was this little girl (no older then 4th grade) with a full face of makeup on - eye shadow, blush lipstick - little hussy. On the way home I just started freaking out "What if he ends up with the wrong crowd? What if he gets picked on?" On and on it went - very weird. I guess it is just a mom moment - one of a few thousand more I will have - but it freaked me out!!!

I took a picture of him yesterday but it didn't come out great - his shirt was white so the sun kept reflecting off it - I will try to post later.

I was able to register Joey at Ridge so he starts the new school tomorrow. We were able to tour the school on Friday - and he loved it since it had THREE playgrounds. It was "way better then CEW"! He was able to even see the classroom he is going to be in - so he is excited (Thank God) about starting.

I can't believe summer is almost over...it seems like he just got out of school last week.

We had a nice relaxing weekend. Sunday we went to the Park at Joey's new school so he could show it off to his Dad. Then we went to Friendly's for lunch. The babies conked out on the way home and then I went grocery shopping..weird to buy juice boxes and sandwich bags again!

Yesterday we went to the "Fish Park" as Joey calls it in Mt. Sinai (it is a park that has a climber shaped like a Fish). Then we ate at McDonalds. We went home - the babies didn't nap - but I watched Rome on HBO on Demand and Joe took Joey to the Bay to go fishing and then to the beach.

Then after all kids were showered and in PJs I went to Borders by myself.

It was completely uneventful - you are probably snoozing after reading - but a Really Really good weekend.

The past few weeks have been party central for the McKelvey clan. First Terri had her party last weekend and everyone met Dave!

Every night when we play outside, the man from down the block walks his dog to the woods across from our house. When he passes, the babies run to the fence and yell "Hi Doggie". Then when he leaves the babies yell "Bye Bye Doggie". Nicky says it so cute - with his low voice and his accent that he got from God knows where...So I had him say it into my cell phone the other day. OK - so the scoop:

Joey: Joey is officially a 2nd grader! He did really well on his last report card but that is because he is a genius like me! LOL. I keep saying that he needs to do some practicing writing/reading during the summer but I have a hard time sticking to it.

He starts swimming lessons in a few weeks so he is excited about that. Right now he is at Matthew's house swimming - tonight they are going to roast marshmellos (I don't think I spelled that right but no matter how much I type it - it doesn't look right - Sorry Ally).

He is basically just hanging out and enjoying the summer - oh yeah - the other day he called Nicky a little bastard - so I guess I am going to have to keep an eye out on the kid - it rolled off of his tongue so naturally - he probably has a trash mouth behind my back!

Nicky: Nicky is as sweet as ever. He is talking so much more and get this..he can spell his name (not write it but tell me the letters). Ok - I know - he just memorized what I said when I spell it for him on his magna doodle but give me my moment!

His favorite thing to say (usually when he is trying to get out of trouble) is "Hi Mama - what you doin?" He usually says that when after he climbs over the gate. He also has been doing this thing - he taps his cheek and says "Think, Think, Think" and then he raises his finger and says "Oh! I know!" Too cute - and it gets him out of anything!!!!

Jenny: Jenny is my little mother hen - she helps me with everything and she keeps the boys in line. She has been going on the potty and I got her little underwear. She ALWAYS wants to do "pee pee" so the fact that she goes is basically just the law of averages - if she is sitting on the potty for 3 hours a day she is bound to go at some point!

In general:

Basically everything is status quo. Working our butts off and taking care of the kids.

Just a quick update on Joey at baseball...After a slow start this season (for those that don't know the poor guy was the only kid not hitting the ball) Joey has done AMAZING these last two games.

I don't know what Uncle Pat did to help him but it worked!
Last game he went three for three.
Today's game - he went FOUR FOR FOUR

AND....

He got a guy out on third base to end the game!!!!!!!!!

I took the babies to the doctor yesterday for their 2 year well visit (2 months late). Here are their stats:

Jenny:

33 inches tall and 21 lbs. She grew 2 inches and gained one pound in the last 6 months. She is 25th percentile for height and below the chart for weight. So she is exactly where she has been since she is born. Doctor said not to worry about her weight - she is just a peanut. She said that Jenny's hemangioma looks like it is going down but she will definately need surgery because the skin is out of shape.

Nicky:

My bruiser is 35 inches tall and 27 lbs. He grew 3 inches and gained 3 lbs in six months. He is about 50th percentile for height and a little below 50th for weight. The doctor said when he is around 8 years old he will need to get a palette spreader because his mouth is so tiny. Whatever that means. I am not going to worry about it for the next 6 years.

Both babies got one shot - as usual Nicky cried for two seconds and Jenny screamed like she was being beaten up.

Developmentally both babies are right on track - Jenny even did some ballet for the doctor - LOL

That's that!

On a side note....girls - I had such a good time on Friday! Samantha - you cracked me up I thought I was going to pee my pants on the way home on the train!!! Can't wait for our next trip!

Babies are still a little under the weather. They aren't sleeping well and are still crapping up a storm- other then that they are wonderful.

I got the virus briefly on Friday. I didn't get it even close to as bad as the rest of my family - the curse or the blessing of being a mom.

Now for the BEST news EVER......

Nicky said "I LOVE YOU!" to me a few days ago. He was running from the living room into the kitchen and he said "Bye!" and then I said "I love you" and he said "I luv ooo!" It was awesome!!!

Jenny said it the next day to Joe but she shouts it - LOL. Nicky is still saying it more often though. If I ask Jenny to say it she says "Nnnooooo". Nice kid.

First - let me thank Terri for babysitting the kids on Sunday night so Joe and I could have a much needed date night. I am glad they were good for you. Tell Daddy thank you for carrying Jenny around for 1/2 hour straight so she would stop crying after the cat messed with her. I think Joe may have been a little upset that she is a Grandpa's girl! LOL

Joey was sick on Thursday night/ Friday morning -he was throwing up and crapping like crazy. It only lasted about 24 hours but he still has the ass part - underwear laundry galore!

Then Sunday night Joe came down with a stomach bug and a fever.

Monday morning - both babies got it. They are in really good spirits - great mood - except for when they are throwing up. I went home early yesterday because I felt bad that Joe was taking care of three sick kids while being sick.

Cross your fingers that I won't get it! Now that I said that - I should be puking any second now - LOL.

I haven't updated in a while. The other night I was trying to upload a video and my computer had a "Major Thermal Event". Whatever the hell that means...

Nicky:

Nicky is saying more and more words everyday. Some of them are totally unrecognizable, others are Nicky words (for example, Du Bup means Thank you - we think it is so cute that we don't even correct him -I know it's bad but well whatever. Another example "Pu Pu" means up.)

Other words he says clear are Mom, Dad, Joe, juice, no, Hey Hey (the song). He is starting to repeat more now as well so it is only a matter of time.

He climbs out of his crib like a bat out of hell...even quicker then Jenny if you can believe it. He is so cute because he will climb out and just leisurely walk into the living room. As if he is thinking "if I act REALLY non-chalant maybe she won't realize that I am supposed to be out here". Seriously, if he could whistle while he is doing it, he would.
He fell out of the crib the other day, got a bad scratch on his back but he got over it.

He still gives kisses and hugs like it is his job. He still loves his crayons and bugs out if you take them away from him.

Jenny:

Jenny is as fresh as ever. She says too many words to even list. Her favorites are: No No No (using her finger for emphasis), Juice, Joe, Nicky (well, she says Kicky - and that has been Nick's new nickname but that is another story). She also says "SSSHHHH, Quiet" and if you don't quiet down quick enough she yells "QUIET!!". I am waiting to hear her say 'I do it, I do it, I do it myself anyday! LOL She tells you when she has Pee Pee and Poop in her diaper, and she has been wanting to sit on the potty but she doesn't do anything. She says Mom, Dad and Papa. She can basically repeat anything.

She has been climbing into the kitchen about 10 times a day lately. She thinks that if she starts to dance when you catch her that she won't get in trouble...She's right.

Joey:

Joey is getting big. He has been listening to his ipod alot. The kid has my taste in music...completely all over the place. We downloaded 11 songs onto it..here is a sample of the list:

He is big into technology lately, his ipod, his digital camera his playstation games (which I have had to curb because he is becoming obsessed with Ben 10). It is cute to see but makes me sad because he is getting so big. What can you do.

Well, it is probably a good thing that the crib I ordered was on back-order and I cancelled it - besides the fact that Jenn has started climbing out of the crib...how am I supposed to separate these two?

Question: Why is it that they only do cute stuff when the house is a total wreck! Anyway - my house is usually a wreck so I am going to stop apologizing - it will be nice and clean when the kids go to college!

Today, as we were leaving for the bus - Joey was already outside. I open up the front door and Joey is yelling "Mommy! Mommy!" with a look of panic on his face. I say "What's wrong?" Joey said "Mommy, a squirrel!"

At that very moment, the squirrel that was hanging right by my face off the screen door - jumped OVER my shoulder into my house!!!!!!

I started screaming at the top of my lungs "Babe! Babe!"

I grabbed Nicky and Jenny and threw them in the kitchen so they couldn't go near the thing - which had run behind my computer desk.

Joeyboy runs upstairs and says "What's wrong?????"

I told him that a squirrel was in the house and it ran behind the desk. So he proceeded to dig the squirrel out - then, like the good Daddy he is, he showed the baby squirrel to the kids. After which he went to put the rat with a furry tail outside.

Then....

The squirrel jumped OUT of his hands and BACK into the house!!!!! It took another full 1/2 hour for Joe to get it this time - he had to move the computer desk and the TV armoire to get the thing. He started out the morning kind of giggling that the squirrel got in and how panicked I was - and ended the escapde saying "You M Fing Squirrel, get the F out you Stupid F!"

The whole time the kids and I stayed in the bedroom coloring. Of course, Jenny would run to the living room from time to time and come back to give us the report:

"Ma Ma - bada bada yada yada blah blah ...squirl." I think she was repeating what Joe was saying! LOL

Nicky was just happy to be coloring.

Well - today Nicky and Jenny were playing in the living room. I was cleaning up the dinner dishes. I walked over to check on them and Nicky held his hand out and said "heh" (meaning here). I opened my hand and he dropped in - ready? - a piece of poop!

At first I wasn't sure what it was so I said "What the heck is that?"

so then, I sniffed it (yes, I know how funny that is).

Then I said "WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT!!!!!!!!"

SO, I then yelled "Nicky - what did you do???"

and Jenny started yelling "Kicky! Kicky! No!"

Thankfully - it wasn't all over the place but ...Still!

Despite that, sitting in my recliner watching curious George with my two freshly bathed babies, looking at my multi-colored crayola walls, and staring at $500 worth of toys on the floor (and another $1,000 in the toy box), listening to Joey singing "Shot through the heart", I realize that I am pretty damn lucky!
